Maria D. Martinez
Ms. Martinez served as Chief Human Resources Officer of HSNi from June 2014 through December 2017. From July 2010 to June 2014, Ms. Martinez was the Senior Vice President overseeing the talent management function for HSN and Human Resources and talent development for Cornerstone Brands. She held positions of increasing responsibility with HSNi since initially joining the company in 1995.
Prior to re-joining the company in 2010, Ms. Martinez served as the Vice President, Human Resources for the Laser Spine Institute from September 2008 to June 2010 where she established the company’s HR function and supported the expansion of the organization’s business to multiple sites. She has also held senior-level positions in Human Resources for Bausch + Lomb from April 2007 to September 2008 and Darden Restaurants from July 2005 to April 2007.
Ms. Martinez served on the Board of Girls Inc. of Pinellas from 2011 to 2017 holding the position of President during her last year of tenure. In 2016, Ms. Martinez was appointed to the Board of Directors of Good360 and the Board of Managers of MGT of America, LLC. She has also served as a mentor through the USF Corporate Mentor Program and has volunteered with Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa.
In 2015, 2016, and 2017 Ms. Martinez received the distinguished honor of being named by Cablefax Magazine as one of the Most Influential Minorities in Cable. She earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in French and Psychology from the University of South Florida and a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Ms. Martinez is married and has two children. Marcus is a junior at USF, Tampa and Maya is a sophomore at Academy of the Holy Names High School.
Melissa Dohme Hill
It’s a true miracle that Melissa Dohme Hill is alive and healthy today. In January of 2012, her high school ex-boyfriend brutally attacked her by stabbing her 32 times in the neck, face, arms, and hands attempting to take her life. The attack caused her entire blood volume to be replaced twice, resulting her to flat-line four times and suffer a stroke in the emergency room. Following that horrific night and her miraculous recovery, Melissa developed the conviction to become an advocate and speak out against domestic violence. She has shared her story with thousands of people, speaking at various national and international domestic violence events, conferences, high schools, and colleges. Melissa has been featured in national and international publications and television shows, including: People Magazine, 48 HOURS “Live to Tell”, 20/20 In An Instant, Inside Edition, Today Show, BBC News, Fox News, CNN, Nancy Grace on HLN, Investigative Discovery and many more.
In recognition of her effective advocacy in the community, Melissa has been awarded CASA’s 2013 Victory Over Violence award, WEDU's 2016 Be More Outspoken: Voice of Tampa Bay Award, the Pinellas County Domestic Violence Task Force’s 2016 Outstanding Achievement in Preventing Domestic Violence Award, and the 2017 Award of Appreciation from OneBlood.
Despite cognitive therapists advising a break due to her traumatic brain injury, Melissa returned immediately to college and never gave up on her education! In 2012, she was awarded St. Petersburg College Clearwater’s Student of the Year and honored as the commencement speaker for her Associates Degree. In May of 2016, she proudly reached her ultimate goal and graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude (3.9 GPA), for her Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management & Organizational Leadership.
Today, Melissa proudly works for a Tampa Bay nonprofit organization, Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay, as a Domestic Violence Prevention Advocate & Speaker. She feels everyday that she walks into work or steps on a stage, she is fulfilling her life purpose of why she was saved that horrific night. In an unexpected twist of fate, Melissa met and fell in love with Cameron Hill, one of the first responders on her call. Their fairytale love and wedding in 2017 has captured the attention of millions across the world.
Timothy Caddell
Tim Caddell was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Pinellas County as a child. He attended Boca Ciega High School and St. Petersburg College. Tim has followed a diverse career path with a background in journalism, retail sales, law enforcement, non-profit management and government. Tim served 16 years as executive director or Girls Incorporated of Pinellas.
Tim joined the City of Pinellas Park as Public Events Director in 2001. Later that year his duties were expanded to include media relations as the city’s public information officer. In October, 2001 Tim was promoted to Assistant Community Activities Administrator and in March of 2008 he became Government Relations Administrator.
Tim has been the face and voice of Pinellas Park in the press and as emcee of many local events. Tim has served on various boards and commissions including the Florida Education and Employment Council for Women and Girls, The Board of Directors of Girls Incorporated of Pinellas, 2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Suncoast, United Way, The Public Education Scholarship Foundation of Pinellas Park, Gasparilla Distance Classic Association, Pinellas Park/Gateway Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Pinellas Country Fair.
Tim and his wife Tracy have lived in Pinellas Park for 45 years. They have a grown son, Chris who lives in Honolulu, Hawaii.
