Involta Cares Expands Its Philanthropic Efforts Into Florida’s Gulf Coast

Leading Data Center Provider Kicks Off 2022 by Supporting Pinellas Chapter of Girls, Inc.

PETERSBURG, Fla. — Jan. 18, 2022 — Involta, an industry-leading hybrid IT, cloud computing, and data center services company, is pleased to announce the expansion of Involta Cares, the company’s community-focused initiative. Through its deep community commitments across the markets that Involta serves and supports, Involta Cares embraced Florida’s Gulf Coast town of St. Petersburg with a significant volunteer initiative on Jan. 13 to benefit the Pinellas Chapter of Girls, Inc. This nonprofit organization encourages all girls to be “Strong, Smart, and Bold” through direct service and advocacy.

Headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Involta is making St. Petersburg, Florida, the official home of its annual Sales Kick-Off (SKO) event and advisory board meetings. During this year’s SKO, 60 Involta team members gave back to the St. Petersburg community by volunteering at Girls, Inc. Involta employees assisted the local chapter with everything from cleaning, maintenance, and yard care to office operations, data entry, and stuffing envelopes for the annual Girls, Inc. “Fuel Her Fire” gala in May.

Involta will continue to invest in the relationship with Girls, Inc. by participating in the Full STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) Ahead program, a series of virtual events which highlight women leaders in STEAM fields. This spring, Involta’s Susan Sedrel, VP of Human Resources, will give a presentation about her childhood interests and dreams and how they shaped her career path to help inspire future leaders.

This initiative is the latest in Involta’s robust Involta Cares community involvement across multiple markets. Recently, employees raised more than $13,000 to help a family in Duluth, Minnesota, have the Best Christmas Ever. In August, Involta took part in Planting Forward, a project to replace trees damaged or destroyed in the 2020 derecho storm that swept through Iowa and parts of the Midwest. Immediately after that storm, Cedar Rapids employees spent half their workday cleaning up debris in nearby Jacolyn Park. And in the height of the pandemic, Involta spearheaded Operations Linking Loved Ones to help residents of long-term care facilities communicate virtually with loved ones who could not visit. The company’s commitment and passion for serving has made Involta Cares a great success that will continue to benefit all involved.

To further Involta’s involvement in the St. Pete business community, Lehrman has become an official member of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.
